Wildlife Photography in South Africa's Greater Kruger Area

Dive into the exceptional experience of refining your wildlife photography skills within the breathtaking scenery of South Africa's renowned Big Five Greater Kruger Area. In this setting, you'll be able to snap remarkable, close-up shots of amazing wildlife while aiding important wildlife conservation research and adding to a significant photographic database. This crucial database acts as a powerful educational instrument in local schools, motivating the next generation to cherish the beauty of nature and understand the significance of environmental preservation.

Your adventure as a Wildlife Volunteer Photographer

The first four weeks begin with the regular 4-week wildlife photography course, starting with a week of detailed workshops and engaging tasks led by an experienced professional photographer. During the initial 4 weeks, you'll learn the fundamentals, tricks, and highlights of photography, get comfortable with your camera settings, and pick up techniques for capturing amazing shots, with a special emphasis on wildlife, landscape, and night photography – and learn to edit them using Adobe Lightroom.

After completing the engaging first 4 weeks, you'll begin a personalized project in collaboration with your mentor, enabling you to take your skills to the next level. You'll receive full support from the team of experienced photographers, including weekly meetings with your mentor, constructive feedback sessions, and various other resources to help you succeed.
